About Us
Engage Church has been around since 1901. A consistent theme has always been to grow Christ's kingdom on the South Hill and beyond. Our strategy has changed over the years, yet our consistent way of doing ministry has been to look to Christ, study His authoritative Scriptures, and to value all people knowing that we all have the same worth...You were purchased by the blood of Christ (Galatians 3:13-14, 1 Corinthians 6:20).
We understand how we live our daily life shows the world what type of God we serve, so with that we hold each other accountable in love (Galatians 6:1-2, Matthew 18:15-17).
This all goes back to the great commandment found in Matthew 22:37-39, and the great commission in Matthew 28:18-20. Love God, love others, and make disciples. We seek to Invite people to belong where we Engage Christ and others and are Equipped to see Transformed lives.
We are proudly apart of Missions Northwest, which is a region in the American Baptist Church.
